The following auditions are scheduled for the Grove Players 2013-2014 Season.





The Children's Hour by Lillian Hellman and directed by Chris Bruzzini

AUDITIONS for The Children's Hour have been completed.

Production dates are:

I Hate Hamlet 
by Paul Rudnick
directed by Francis Valach

There will be cold readings from the script. No sides are offered in advance for this audition.

Audition and rehearsal location: 
St. Andrew's Episcopal Church
1125 Franklin St, Downers Grove, IL 60515

Nov. 16 - 4 p.m. and Nov. 17 - 7 p.m.
Callbacks, if needed, will be Nov. 18 - 7 p.m.

Director Francis Valach is looking for:
Felicia Dantine - 30+, Real Estate Agent - Heavy New York accent a plus.
Andrew Rally - 20s – 30s, Actor
Deirdre Mcdavey - 20s – 30s, Actress / Andrew’s love interest
Lillian Troy - 50+, Andrew’s Agent
Gary Lefkowitz - 30+, Hollywood Producer
John Barrymore – age indeterminate, Ghost of renowned stage actor. First priority being stage presence and vocal capability. Barrymore was an old world performer who had a very commanding and domineering presence.  It will be necessary that the actor cast must be able to emulate that.

Friday and Saturday performances begin at 8 pm and Sunday performances begin at 2 pm.


Auditions take place at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, at 1125 Franklin Street, Downers Grove.
